The Israeli Occupation continues its aggression on Gaza, with a recent massacre in the Nuseirat camp resulting in the death of 210 Palestinians. Despite international efforts for a ceasefire and prisoner exchange deal, the occupation forces carried out a combined operation to recover four captives, who were successfully rescued.
The captives, held by Hamas since October 7, were identified as Noa Argamani, Almog Meir, Andre Kozlov, and Shlomi Ze’ev. Following the rescue operation, intense airstrikes and ground invasions took place in central Gaza and the Nuseirat camp.
Hamas denounced the massacre as a war crime and warned of the danger it poses to remaining captives. Families of the captives fear Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu may exploit the situation to hinder a potential prisoner exchange deal. Thousands protested in Tel Aviv demanding negotiation for the exchange, leading to the arrest of 30 settlers.
The deadly attacks in Gaza have left thousands injured and trapped under rubble, with a death toll of 36,731 according to Gaza’s Ministry of Health.
