Justin Timberlake was arrested on Long Island in New York and accused of driving while intoxicated, authorities said Tuesday.
The pop superstar, in the midst of a lengthy U.S. tour, was still in custody in the affluent Hamptons community of Sag Harbor on Tuesday morning, the Sag Harbor Village Police confirmed to NBC News.
He will face a DWI charge, a court official said.
“On June 18, 2024, Justin Timberlake was arrested in Sag Harbor for Driving While Intoxicated,” according to a Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office statement. “He will be arraigned in Sag Harbor Village Justice Court this morning. At this time, we have no further comment.”
Timberlake had dined at The American Hotel in Sag Harbor “and then headed to a friend’s house when he was pulled over by police,” a source close to the musician said.
Timberlake is set to play in Chicago on Friday and Saturday before coming back to play at Madison Square Garden in New York City next week on Tuesday and Wednesday.
His “The Forget Tomorrow World Tour” had been in Miami on Saturday and Tampa on Friday.
